An updated description of a rapist being hunted for a sex attack has been released by police.

The 23-year-old woman was raped as she walked home from a night out in Glasgow.

A man approached her from behind on Crow Road close to Cross Park in the city’s Partick area and threatened her.

He then took her to a wooded area where he sexually assaulted her at around 2.15am on Monday.

On Thursday, Strathclyde Police released an updated description of the attacker. He has sallow skin and bushy eyebrows, a force spokeswoman said.

Following the rape, the attacker ran off onto Crow Road before his victim lost sight of him.

He is of slim build with short dark hair and was wearing a white tracksuit jacket.

Detective Inspector Fil Capaldi said: "A young woman has been left extremely traumatised and has been subjected to a sickening attack and it's absolutely imperative we find the man responsible.

"I am appealing to anyone who may have been in the area that morning, possible passing taxi drivers, people going home after a night out or local residents, who may have seen or heard something, please get in touch with us, your information is vital in helping us to trace the man responsible."

Anyone with information is asked to contact officers at Glasgow West End Police Office on telephone number 0141 532 3000.
