Hundreds of cannabis plants worth around £750,000 have been seized in a police raid.

The operation took place at a disused factory at an industrial estate in East Dunbartonshire on Thursday morning.

Strathclyde Police said the cannabis farm was discovered at Woodilee Trading Estate in Kirkintilloch’s Woodilee Road.

Four men have been detained in connection with the raid.

The force said the operation was "intelligence-led" and appealed for anyone with concerns about drug cultivation to contact their local police offices.

Strathclyde Police revealed the estimated street value of the plants is £750,000.
