A second man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a young man in Glasgow.

Cameron Ferguson, 25, is accused of stabbing 21-year-old Jamie Johnstone and killing him, on January 16.

Prosecutors allege that at an address in Balbeggie Street in the Sandyhills area, Ferguson did “repeatedly strike him on the body with a knife or similar instrument”.

Ferguson appeared on Wednesday at Glasgow Sheriff Court where he was represented by Stephen Bentley.

He made no plea or declaration and was remanded in custody by sheriff Anthony Deutsch.

Ferguson will appear next week again for a full committal hearing. Earlier this week Nico Donnelly, 22, from Cambuslang, South Lanarkshire appeared in court to face the same charge and was remanded.
