Remembrance service held 35 years after Lockerbie disaster

270 people were killed including 11 residents of the town in 1988

A senseless act of terrorism. Thirty five years on, a memorial service has paid tribute to the 270 people killed when a plane exploded over Lockerbie.

A trial date has been set for the man suspected of building the bomb which brought down the plane.

Libyan Abu Agila Masood will be in court to face three charges in May 2025.
