Appeal after Staffordshire Terrier is stolen from high street

Staffordshire Terrier: The pet was taken from Dundee High Street.

A Staffordshire Terrier has been stolen from outside a Barclays Bank in Dundee.

Tayside Police are investigating the theft which happened at around 11.10am on Monday in High Street.

The brindle coloured dog, which was wearing a pink harness, had been secured to a bench.

Tayside Police said a man had taken the pet.

A spokeswoman for the force added: “Tayside Police would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed or who has information in relation to this crime as a matter of urgency.”

The man responsible is described as a white European male with short dark hair wearing a dark coloured jacket.
