Motorists have been warned that new traffic management signals will be in operation at the Tay Road Bridge.
The new signals will be in operation from Tuesday, May 8 on the northbound carriageway.
The signals are in place at the Dundee end and will only be used when there is a breakdown or emergency on the bridge to help with traffic flow.
Since Sunday drivers coming from Dundee have been diverted to the newly widened ramp next to the Apex Hotel with access to the bridge via the right lane for drivers coming from the west.
A spokesman for Dundee City Council said the changes to the on ramps at the bridge had meant new alternative traffic management arrangements were needed.
He said: “Changes to the on ramps, and the closure of the one nearest Tayside House, mean alternative arrangements for dealing with traffic flow in an emergency have had to be introduced.”
