An engaged couple spent the night behind bars after keeping hotel guests up as they fought.
On Thursday, a court heard Colin Fisher and Sharlie Thomson still plan to get married despite being arrested after arguing in front of hotel guests.
Chimney engineer Fisher, 29, and his hairdresser fiancee Thomson, 19, caused so much noise police were called out to their hotel room twice in an hour.
By the second time officers arrived at the Isle of Skye Hotel in Perth the couple were having a stand-up fight and had to be separated before being arrested.
Fiscal depute Stuart Richardson told Perth Sheriff Court: "They are not only in a relationship, but are engaged to be married. They had travelled to Perth on the evening of September 30 last year.
"The decision had been made to stay the night. He pre-booked a hotel room. They were to attend a birthday party in Perth. Whilst at the party they had managed to fall out.
"When they came back to the Isle of Skye Hotel it was obvious to the night porter they were arguing. They went to their room. Around 1.30 am people in the room next door were woken by a disturbance.
"It was from the accused’s room and there was lots of shouting going on. The neighbours phoned downstairs to staff who called police.
"The police came, spoke to both of them and advised them simply to go to bed and behave themselves. Around 45 minutes later the people next door were again awoken by a further disturbance.
"Police were phoned again and the night porter went up to the room and found the two of them shouting and swearing at each other and engaging in a fight. Blows were being exchanged."
Solicitor Erica Watson, for Thomson, said she had given birth to the couple's first child six weeks before the incident and was on her first night out since the baby was born.
She said: "Having not consumed alcohol for a considerable period it had quite a profound effect on her. She deeply regrets her behaviour and any disruption it caused to other guests in the hotel.
"They remain in a relationship and are engaged to be married. She has not come to the attention of the police again."
Fisher and Thomson from Prestonpans, East Lothian, both admitted behaving in a threatening or abusive manner at the Isle of Skye Hotel on October 1, 2011. They admitted causing fear and alarm by shouting, swearing, having a stand-up fight and refusing to stop.
Fisher was fined £300 and Thomson was fined £150.
Sheriff Robert McCreadie said: "Disturbing the peace in that manner was disgraceful. People were trying to get to sleep."
