Three people in court charged with murder after body found in Fife

Two men and a woman are due to appear in court charged with murder after a man's body was found in Glenrothes in Fife.

It was understood the body was found in the Brodie Court area on Wednesday after an investigation involving the Specialist Crime Division (SCD) of Fife Constabulary.

The body has not yet been identified.

The two men, aged 23 and 22, and a woman aged 19 have been arrested and charged and are due to appear at Kirckaldy Sheriff Court on Thursday.

Local area Chief Inspector Derek McEwan said: "We are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding this death. Officers from the Specialist Crime Division are assisting with this process which may continue for several days. I would like to assure the communities of Glenrothes that this incident appears to be an isolated one, but in any case there will be an increased police presence in the Stenton area of Glenrothes for several days to come.

"I would also appeal to anyone who resides in Brodie Court or surrounding streets, who may have seen or heard anything which could be viewed as suspicious to contact the police on our non emergency number of 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
