A van driver who died in an accident on the A9 near Auchterarder on Monday morning has been named by the police.
Roy Greene, 41, from Kilsyth in North Lanarkshire, died when his Renault van hit a Leyland Daf tipper truck.
Mr Greene, who worked as a joiner, was travelling to Aberdeenshire to carry out work. He was pronounced dead by emergency services at the scene of the accident.
His passenger, a 45-year-old from Shawhead in North Lanarkshire, was taken by ambulance to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee, where he is being treated for a fractured pelvis, a broken bone in his back, cuts to his head, and a number of leg fractures.
He has been detained in hospital, but his injuries are not thought to be life threatening. The driver of the truck was uninjured.
The northbound carriageway of the A9 was temporarily closed following the collision to allow accident investigators to work and diversions were put in place.
