A motorcyclist who died after his bike collided with a car in Perth and Kinross has been named.
Tayside Police said the crash happened on the A85, one mile west of Comrie, at about 11.30am on Wednesday.
The 41-year-old biker, named as David Roberts from Stanley, was killed at the scene, police said.
His bike, which had been heading east towards Comrie, collided with a maroon Jaguar car.
The elderly man and woman in the car were not injured.
The road was closed between Comrie and St Fillans to allow for a full investigation.
A spokesman for Tayside Police said: "Mr Roberts' family are understandably upset by their sudden loss and have said that he will be greatly missed."
Enquiries into the full set of circumstances of the incident are on-going and Tayside Police would appeal for anyone who may have information that could assist officers with their enquiries to contact Tayside Police on 0300 111 2222.
As with all sudden deaths a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
