Three people have been taken to hospital following a two-car road collision in Fife.
The crash happened on the A92, near Freuchie in Fife, at about 9.15am on Wednesday.
Fife Constabulary said two women and a man were seriously injured in the crash between a blue Mazda and a blue Toyota Yaris.
One of the women was taken by ambulance to Victoria hospital in Kirkcaldy and is in a critical condition. The man and other woman were taken to Ninewells hospital in Dundee and are in a serious condition.
The road was closed between the New Inn Roundabout and Ladybank while emergency services deal with the collision. It reopened at around 4pm.
Chief Inspector Adrian Annandale said: " We are investigating the cause of this crash and I would appeal to anyone who may have seen the collision, or the immediate aftermath, or anyone who was in this area about 9.15am this morning, and may have seen either vehicle, to contact the police."
