John Styles: Pensioner has been missing for more than a week.

A mountain rescue search for a 77-year-old man missing for more than a week has been unsuccessful.

Tayside Police are continuing to search for John Styles, of Perth, who has been missing since last Wednesday.

On Wednesday the force along with Tayside Civilian Mountain Rescue carried out a combined search of the River Earn in Crieff using a raft, which afforded good views of both the river and the banks.

John, also known as Frank, was last seen at about 7.30am in Crieff on Wednesday, July 11, when he parked his black-coloured Kia car in the town’s Gallowhill.

He is described as being 5ft 8ins tall, of slim build with receding grey/white hair. When last seen he was wearing a dark jacket, dark cord trousers, dark coloured brogues and a blue coloured baseball cap with white writing.

Anyone who has information that could assist police with their inquiries is asked to contact Tayside Police on 0300 111 2222 or speak to any officer.
