Summer showers are still expected to hit parts of Scotland over the weekend with revellers heading to T in the Park warned to pack their wellies and waterproofs.
The Borders will experience much of the heavy downpours with parts of central Scotland also gearing up for a wet weekend.
Flooding is also expected across parts of the country from overflowing rivers and blocked drains.
Visitors at T in the Park - the country's largest music festival - are warned to be prepared for the varied weather at Balado in Perth and Kinross.
The three-day event, which organisers expect around 85,000 to attend, kicks off on Friday with acts including The Stones Roses, Kasabian, New Order and Snow Patrol.
STV weatherman Sean Batty said: "Heavy rain across central parts of England during Friday will spread into Dumfries and Galloway and the Borders on Friday night.
"Heavy rain also expected to push into Ayrshire, Lanarkshire and the Lothians at times overnight into Saturday. Most persistent will be further south.
"During Friday night over an inch of rain will fall over eastern parts of the Borders with the potential of a further few inches of rain falling during Saturday morning in these areas, leading to a high risk of flooding from rivers and blocked drains.
"Glasgow and Edinburgh are at risk of seeing heavy bursts of rain during the early hours of Saturday, however this becomes more showery during the morning as the rain pushes further north."
He added: "T in the Park revellers will see rain on and off during Friday night and Saturday morning although the rain is expected to more persistant for a time on Saturday afternoon. Heavier bursts are a possibility.
"People to pack their ponchos, wellies and midgie repellent for their weekend."
