A man attempted to rob a bookmakers at Lochee High Street, Dundee.

The incident happened at around 5.40pm on Thursday at Bet Fred Betting Shop.

Tayside Police is appealing to the public for information and are keen to trace a man described as white and 6ft tall.

He was said to have been wearing a black hat, blue jacket and blue jeans with black and white sports shoes.
