Passenger dies in hospital after collision between two lorries on A9

A 60-year-old has died after being fatally injured in a smash between two lorries on the A9.

John Moody was a passenger in one of the heavy goods vehicles that collided on Saturday, June 16.

He was taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital initially after the crash on the road near to the Greencornhills Roundabout in Bannockburn, Stirlingshire.

On Tuesday he died as a result of his injuries in Edinburgh’s Western General Hospital after he was transferred.

Central Scotland Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision who have not spoken to them so far.
