Final preparations are taking place for the Olympic flame making its way to Dundee.
The Olympic torch relay will make its journey south on Tuesday after an evening celebration in Aberdeen on Monday.
It will travel through Angus before arriving in Dundee just after 6pm.
The torch will travel through communities in Angus including Montrose, Brechin and Forfar in the morning before arriving in Scone around 1pm.
Thousands of school pupils as well as residents are expected to line the route to view the flame.
In the afternoon the torch will travel to Scone Palace, Perth and some parts of Fife before arriving in Dundee.
Provost of Angus Helen Oswald said: "This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to welcome the Olympic flame to our communities.
"4500 school children will be out on the route to experience this historic moment. I’m sure that many Angus residents will join them and give a rousing reception to the 20 plus inspiring community torchbearers who are carrying the flame through our streets."
In Dundee there will be a total of nine torchbearers including double amputee and amateur athlete Ronnie McIntosh. Mr McIntosh suffers from a rare autoimmune condition called Sjogren's Syndrome. It led to kidney failure and ultimately resulted in the amputation of both of his legs.
Andy Coogan, 94, a former Japanese prisoner of war and uncle of Olympic gold medallist Chris Hoy, will also carry the torch through the city.
A host of evening entertainments are planned in Dundee at City Square and Baxter Park.
The torch relay will start at the bottom of Commercial Street at 6.14pm and move to City Square for 6.18pm.
Torchbearers will then take the flame back along High Street, then up Murraygate and Cowgate, onto Princes Street to Arbroath Road then in to Baxter Park for 6.47pm.
The Baxter Park evening celebration will be open to the public from 4pm, with activities beginning at 5pm. Highlights include a performance from Scots pop star Emeli Sande who is due on stage at 6.13pm.
At 6.50pm, following the arrival of the Olympic flame in the park, a cauldron will be lit. Events at the park will come to a close at around 7.15pm.
Lord Provost Bob Duncan said: "The arrival of the Olympic Torch Relay in Dundee is an exciting occasion and I would urge people to come out and see the spectacle.
"This will be an evening to remember for everyone from Dundee who is involved in the displays, as well as the torchbearers."
City council environment convener councillor Craig Melville added: "The city council and its partners are putting in a lot of work to ensure that as many people as possible can enjoy the relay in Dundee.
"Events for all the family are being staged at City Square and Baxter Park and these will have a very special atmosphere about them."
On Wedensday morning the flame will then begin its route to Edinburgh. It will start the day in St Andrews and is expected to visit the iconic Swilcan Bridge at the Old Course before heading along the West Sands beach.
