A man was taken to hospital following a crash between a car and a van near Carnoustie.
The accident happened at around 1.15pm on Tuesday on the Arbroath Road between Carnoustie and East Haven, just outside Carnoustie.
The man, understood to be in his 20s, was taken to Ninewells Hospital with minor injuries.
Tayside Fire and Rescue Service said they were called to the scene after it was initially reported a person was trapped however the person was out of the vehicle by the time they arrived.
A spokeswoman for the force said two appliances had attended, one from Balmossie and one from Carnoustie. She added that no equipment was used.
A spokesman for the Scottish Ambulance Service said the man was attended to at the scene before being transported to Ninewells Hospital by ambulance.
