A woman is in a critical condition after falling and banging her head at a nightclub.

Emergency services were called to Out night club at the city’s Seagate at around 2.30am on Thursday.

Tayside Police said a 46-year-old woman had fallen and banged her head.

A spokesman said: “The condition of the woman, who is from the Dundee area, quickly deteriorated and she was taken by ambulance to the city’s Ninewells Hospital, where her condition is understood to be critical.”

He said that inquiries into the full set of circumstances surrounding the incident were being carried out.

The spokesman added: “Tayside Police is carrying out inquiries into the full set of circumstances surrounding the incident and would appeal to anyone who was at the nightclub or who has any information that could assist their investigation to call 0300 111 2222, or speak to any officer.”
