Police have called off a search for a missing 80-year-old woman after she was found safe and well.

Tayside Police had appealed to the public after Joan Duthie was reported missing.

The force said she was last seen at 8.30am on Wednesday at Dundee’s Abbotsford Place.

She had been described as medium build with bobbed grey-coloured hair.

A force spokeswoman thanked the public for assistance.

She added that Joan was found safe and well in Dundee on Wednesday evening.
