Fatal fire: Body of 56-year-old found.

A 56-year-old man has died following a fire at his home in the Knightswood area of Glasgow on Thursday night.

At around 8.40pm, emergency services were called to a report of a fire at a flat in Culbin Drive. 

Firefighters from Strathclyde Fire and Rescue put the fire out and found the body of the 56 year-old man.

A joint police and fire investigation took place into the cause of the fire, however, it is not thought that there are any suspicious circumstances.

A full report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.

Details of the man who died have not yet been released until his relatives have been contacted.
