Police are appealing for a motorist to come forward following a fatal road accident on the A82 on Sunday August 22.

Tom Clelland, 62, from the Lenzie area died when his motorcycle collided with a single decker bus at Firkin Point in Inverbeg near Loch Lomond. It was one of four road accidents that claimed the lives of four people across Scotland that weekend. The road was closed in both directions following the accident.

Sergeant Mark Rogers from the Road Policing Department at Dumbarton said: "I am anxious to trace the driver of a red coloured motor vehicle who was driving on the A82 north of Glen Douglas Road at Firkin Point at around 1000hrs on Sunday 22 August 2010 and was in a line of traffic ahead of Mr Clelland's Honda motorcycle.

"The driver of this vehicle may be unaware of the collision occurring behind his vehicle but may be able to provide some information which could assist our enquiries.

"It is known that the driver of the untraced red vehicle was being followed be a black coloured Mazda sports car that stopped at the scene of the crash."

The driver of the red car is asked to contact police at the Road Policing Department in Dumbarton.
