Police mounted a series of raids around Glasgow in connection with alleged violent gang attacks.
Officers from Strathclyde Police have been rounding up a number of suspects and taking them in for questioning. A 19-year-old has already been arrested in connection with a serious assault on 26-year-old James Hanlon.
There have been a series of raids on eight properties in the Glasgow area since Thursday night.
Eight people have been arrested and a quantity of drugs, cash, stolen property and weapons including a crossbow have been seized.
An amount of counterfeit currency was also seized along with equipment used to make it.
This police operation is expected to continue well into the weekend and police say there may well be more raids.
This is all part of the ongoing response to attacks on the Hanlon twins, alleged to be leading members of the Glasgow underworld.
On Sunday night, Bryan Hanlon was attacked by a gang in the Maryhill area of Glasgow and assaulted with chisels. A week earlier his brother James was assaulted with a power drill on Cumbernauld road in Stepps. He suffered a serious head injury.
A 19-year-old man has been arrested in connection with that incident and he is expected to appear in court on Monday.
