Glasgow: Objects spotted in north of the city. Pic: © STV
An STV viewer has contacted us claiming to have seen something strange in the skies above Glasgow that they think could have been a UFO.
Grace Boardman was driving along Colston Road in the north of the city on Monday night at around 10.15pm when she spotted what she described as "twinkling stars moving in the sky."
She said: "When I stopped at a red light, three twinkling stars suddenly became bright orange orbs hovering low in formation above the cars.
"There was no sound and they were definitely not planes or helicopters. The man in the car next to me spoke to his passenger and pointed to them also. They then became smaller and hovered in a V shape."
Ms Boardman could find no explanation for the objects she saw, and wonders if she was the only person to have witnessed the strange spectacle. While she is certain there is a logical explanation for what she saw, she does not know what it could have been.
Almost exactly a year ago, in August 2009, a viewer contacted STV with video taken in the Springburn area of Glasgow, an area close to Ms Boardman's sighting.
Bill Leadbitter described what he saw as "A cylindrical object, travelling fast and with flames visible, and moving silently." Like Ms Boardman's sighting this strange object was seen at around 10.15pm. A number of other people commented on the STV website that they had also seen the same thing.
