Discovery: A body has been found
A body of a man aged between 35 and 40 has been found in a field in Airdrie.
Police sealed off the area around Calderbank Road and Brownsburn Road after the body was found at 11.40am on Friday by workmen using a mechanical digger.
The man was described having brown hair with flecks of grey and a scar on his face. He was wearing a dark hooded jacket and jeans.
Officers said there was no sign of violence of the body and the death was being treated as "unexplained" but not "suspicious". By 4.45pm, police had left the scene.
