Glasgow's branch of Ikea in Braehead is proving to have an unusual attraction, after a member of the public spotted an unusual face-like pattern in the grain of the wood in a door in the store's gents' toilet.
The face appears to be of a man with a beard and long flowing hair, and is visible beneath the handle of the door on the inside of the gents.
The mysterious face, which some say looks like a portrait of Jesus, has sparked a considerable amount of debate among shoppers and staff at the store. It has been suggested that it resembles the image of the Shroud of Turin, a religious item held in Italy which is believed by many to hold the image of Jesus on it after it was used to wrap his body after the crucifixion.
Others maintain that the Ikea face resembles Gandalf, the wizard from The Lord of the Rings. The character was played by Sir Ian McKellen in the recent trilogy of films.
Over the years there have been a number of mysterious sightings of objects that have resembled religious icons. These include an image of the Virgin Mary on a piece of cheese and toast, as well as claims that photographs of rocks and clouds have captured a divine image.
