The Conservative's candidate in the Glasgow North East by-election says she will publish details of all her expenses.
Launching her campaign this morning, Ruth Davidson signed a pledge that if elected she would publish details online of all her expenses and to never claim for food furniture or household goods.
The by-election was called after the then-Speaker Michael Martin became embroiled in the row over MPs expenses at Westminster.
She said: "This must be an election where politicians begin to restore the public's trust in politics.
I am pledging to be open with my expenses and to fight a clean campaign. I challenge my opponents to do the same."
She also said that she would tackle the big issues of the recession, jobs, local services and crime.
