Police forensic teams have removed what is believed to be the body of missing woman Mary McLaren near a roundabout in Dundee.
The 34-year-old has not been seen since leaving a nightclub in the city centre two weeks ago.
A cause of death has still to be determined for the woman's body which was found in the Marketgait on Wednesday but it is being treated as suspicious.
Late on Thursday night, three forensic officers removed a black body bag from the embankment.
Formal identification of the woman’s body is expected to be made on Friday.
It could be next week before a cause of death is established from a post mortem examination.

A major police search was launched for Mary following her last sighting outside Fat Sams nightclub at around 3am on February 25.
Police urged revellers to submit any photos they had taken inside the club on the night.
After issuing CCTV stills of Ms McLaren on her night out, officers traced a man seen dancing with her before she disappeared.
Tayside Police say the man was still helping with their inquiries and has been remanded in custody for an unrelated offence in a different police force area.
The discovery was made in undergrowth on an embankment to the north of Ladywell roundabout in the city centre at around on Wednesday lunchtime.
The location was around 150 yards from where she was last seen and the same distance from Tayside Police’s Dundee headquarters.
Mary’s family are still waiting for confirmation as to the identity of the body.
Tayside Police say family liaison workers are continuing to keep them fully updated.
