The men were travelling on the A92 from Montrose towards Arbroath when the vehicle left the road and crashed down an embankment.

Two seriously injured in Angus car crash

Two men have been taken to hospital after being seriously injured in a road accident in Angus.

The men, aged 21 and 22 were travelling in a White Honda Civic on the A92 from Montrose towards Arbroath at about 1am on Monday when the vehicle left the road and crashed down an embankment.

Both occupants were taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee.

The road was closed for several hours while police carried out investigations into the cause of the crash.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or saw the vehicle prior to the accident are being urged to contact Tayside Police.
