A Dundee teacher convicted of assaulting two pupils will have his court appeal heard in September.
Mike Barile was found guilty in December of assaulting the boys after a trial at the city's sheriff court.
He was sacked by Dundee City Council following a disciplinary hearing.
The former maths teacher from Lawside Academy in Dundee is also challenging the council's decision. A hearing is expected to take place before councillors on Monday.
The conviction centred on incidents that took place between October 2007 and May 2008.
The Sheriff in the case said Mr Barile had suffered extreme abuse from the teenagers.
