A paper wedding dress designed by a student at Gray's School of Art in Aberdeen is to dawn the catwalk at a prestigious bridal awards ceremony.
Christina McIntosh's eco-friendly design has been shortlisted in the 2009 Bridal Buyer Awards.
The event is regarded as Europe's top bridal awards ceremony.
Christina's design, entitled "A Paper Promise", was inspired by ideas of an eco-friendly future.
After a lot of consideration she decided to find a material that was as recyclable as paper.
Tyvek is an extremely versatile material which looks just like paper but is much more durable and is often used in the industrial and medical packaging industry.
The innovative idea even incorporates origami flowers.
Christina said: "I am thrilled to have been shortlisted and to have such a high-profile platform on which to promote eco-friendly fashion."
Meanwhile, fellow student Magdalena Zareba has also been chosen to show her design at the awards.
Her Barbarella-inspired mini-dress has won sponsorship from John Lewis.
Winning trophies will be presented at a glittering award ceremony on March 9.
