Aberdeen football legend Willie Miller has revealed his all-time best Dons eleven in a new book.

Willie's Dream Team features stars from Aberdeen's 80s heyday making up a side he believes are the best of the club's players of all time.

In defence he has placed Stewart Kennedy, Alex McLeish, Martin Buchan and John McMaster, along with goalkeeper Jim Leighton.

He names Charlie Nicholas, Mark McGhee and Joe Harper as ideal forwards and for midfield he chooses Gordon Strachan, Jim Bett and Peter Weir.

It his hoped his new book will stimulate much debate among Dons fans of all ages.

The footballing legend was Aberdeen's finest central defender.

Voted the club's best-ever player, he enjoyed a career spanning three decades and from captain to manager to director, he continues his affiliation with the Dons to present day.

The veteran footballer has also included a dream team of celebrity Dons fans, including Buff Hardie of Scotland the What and former British Open winner Paul Lawrie.
