Crash Victims: Stacey King and Douglas Gray
The families of a teenage girl and a lorry driver who died in a road collision last week have paid tribute to the pair.
Stacey King, 19, and Douglas Gray, 62, died when Ms King's car and Mr Gray's lorry crashed on the A947 near Banff on Friday.
It has emerged that Ms King from Macduff was planning to move to Spain to teach English as a foreign language.
In a statement, her mother Caroline said: "She was a wonderful daughter and she will be sadly missed. She was just loved by everyone who knew her.
"Stacey had just completed an English as a foreign language teaching course and was hoping to go out to Spain to teach English.
"She was just starting out in life - everything was going her way and she was tragically taken from us."
Ms King was a former pupil of Banff Academy and worked in Spain after leaving school.
She returned home in 2008 and had been working in the reception of an Aberdeen hotel.
Mr Gray’s family paid tribute to the Huntly train enthusiast’s “big personality”.
His daughter Gail Stewart said: "He was a loving, wonderful son, father, grandfather, brother and uncle, as well as a friend to many.
"He was devoted to his family and he will be much missed.
"Dad was a character, with a big personality who always said it like it was.
"He made a lot of friends through his work, but his weekends were spent on his hobby of steam trains, where he also made a lot of friends."
Mr Gray, who was also a keen photographer and film-maker, had three daughters and a son with his wife Leslie.
Douglas' other hobbies included photography, film-making and spending time with his family.
