Two day care centres for adults with learning difficulties in Aberdeen are to close following a decision by councillors.
The Community Special Needs group building in Croft Road and the Burnside Centre in Mastrick Drive provide places for over 100 adults.
Many of them have already been allocated places at different facilities.
The Social Care and Wellbeing Committee also approved a new staffing structure at Rosehill House Centre in Ashgrove Road West, which is to be replaced with a purpose built centre for adults with complex needs.
Committee chairman Cllr Jim Kiddie said that they were implementing something that was “long overdue”.
