Third River Don crossing plans take step forward

Plans for a controversial third bridge crossing of the River Don in Aberdeen have been approved by councillors.

Designs for the £8.4million crossing between Tillydrone and Grandholm will be drawn up by following a vote by Aberdeen City Council's enterprise, planning and infrastructure committee.

Plans for a £25million upgrade of the Berryden corridor were also approved.

Labour calls to revisit the plan were defeated 12 votes to three.
