A teenager who murdered a man by stamping on him so violently his shoe patterns were left on his victim’s face is due to be sentenced.
Thomas Main, 18, has previously admitted murdering 43-year-old Michael Wood in Aberdeen last June.
A post-mortem found the whole of Mr Wood’s face was broken during the attack in Balnagask Terrace - only his jawbone remained intact.
The High Court in Edinburgh heard Main had a drink problem and had been sleeping rough.
He is due to be sentenced at the High Court in Livingston on November 23.
