A man’s body has been found in the sea off the Aberdeenshire coast.
The body was found seven miles north of MacDuff by a fishing vessel on Wednesday evening.
Enquiries are ongoing to establish the identity of the male.
The discovery comes over a week after a fisherman from the MacDuff-based Osprey 3 fell overboard.
The 28-year-old Filipino deckhand became caught in the boat's nets, five miles north of the town, just before 7pm last Wednesday. He was not wearing a lifejacket.
Two lifeboats, a rescue helicopter and several fishing vessels were involved in the search which was stood down in the early hours of Thursday morning.
