The last remaining member of the first Aberdeen side to win the Scottish Cup has died.
Archie Baird was part of the famous Dons side that first lifted the famous trophy in 1947.
Mr Baird, 90, survived Second World War PoW camps before enjoying a successful football career, after which he moved into journalism and finally teaching.
He joined the Pittodrie side in 1945 and scored in the 3-2 win over Rangers a year later in the Southern League Cup final in front of 135,000 fans at Hampden.
Mr Baird was also capped for Scotland, playing against Belgium in 1946.
After featuring in the heralded side that defeated Hibs 2-1 in the Scottish Cup Final, he moved to St Johnstone in 1953 before retiring three years later.
Mr Baird worked in the north-east for the Daily Express and before going on to teach PE at Rosemount Academy where he stayed for 23 years.
He then moved to Summerhill Academy and then Hilton before retiring as assistant head in 1979.
