Police have seized Class A drugs with a street value of more than £80,000 from an address in Aberdeen city centre.

A 23-year-old man from the Huddersfield area has been arrested in connection with the recovery on Thursday.

Head of the Force Drug Squad, Detective Inspector Chris Lawrence, said: "We will continue to carry out robust enforcement activity against all those involved in the supply of controlled drugs within the Grampian region.

“The assistance of the public is essential in tackling this menace and bringing to justice those responsible for drug trafficking at all levels.”

In a separate incident on Thursday officers recovered a four-figure sum of controlled Class A drugs from the Kintore area of Aberdeenshire.
