Bus drivers in Aberdeen could be a step closer towards strike action.

The results of a ballot on possible industrial action from hundreds of drivers are being are to be announced on Tuesday morning.

First Bus members of the T&G Unite union are recommending a vote in favour of industrial action this summer after a postal ballot was organised over pay.

First management said drivers are demanding a 52% pay rise and that such an award is unachievable.

Similar action in 2008 brought buses in Aberdeen to standstill.
