Western Isles Council is asking contractors to register interest in building a new media centre on Lewis.
Around £2million is to be spent transforming a former textile mill on Stornoway's Seaforth Road into a centre for creative and media industries.
The council is urging interested contractors to download further information on the development from their website.
Architects working for the council have designed the new office space for businesses and individuals working within the creative industries, to support growth in media related businesses on the island.
The construction includes structural repairs, replacement of roof coverings, building fabric repairs, fitting out, new extensions to the existing building, external landscaping and car parking.
Cllr Angus Campbell, Leader of the Council, said: "I am pleased that the redevelopment has reached this stage and delighted about the opportunities it offers for local contractors and suppliers.
“The project demonstrates the Comhairle's commitment to moving ahead with capital investment in order to stimulate the local economy."
