A teenage boy who had been missing for six days has returned home safely - but two other teenagers are still missing in the Lothians.
David Ramsey was reported missing from his home in Tranent last Friday. The 15-year-old had left to go to school at Ross High but never turned up, leading police to issue an appeal for information about his whereabouts.
He returned home voluntarily on Wednesday.
However, in a separate case, two teenage girls missing from Midlothian since last Friday have still not been traced.
Officers were called in at 11.50pm after 15-year-old Kira Henderson left an address in Lasswade without permission. She is believed to be in the company of Kirsty Campbell, who was reported missing from her home in Newtongrange on Sunday but was last seen on Friday.
Kira is described as fair-skinned with brown hair. She was wearing a pink hoodie, a T-shift with a face on it and black leggings. Kirsty, also 15, is described as white, around five foot four inches tall and of medium build, with layered dark hair. She was wearing a dark cardigan, jeans, brown boots and large hooped earrings.
A police spokesman said: "We are keen to locate all three of these youths and reunite them with their families as soon as possible. Anyone who believes they may have seen them and has information that can assist us in tracing their whereabouts is asked to contact police immediately."
Anyone with any information is asked to contact Lothian and Borders police on 0131 311 3131.
