Two men have now been remanded in custody following an incident in Willowbrae on Sunday.

Second man in court over alleged Jock's Lodge shooting

A second man has appeared in court following an alleged shooting and stabbing incident at Edinburgh's Jock's Lodge pub.

David Coutts appeared in private at the city's Sheriff Court on Thursday charged with assault with intent to murder. The 20-year-old made no plea and his case was continued.

Sheriff James Scott remanded him in custody.

On Wednesday, 27-year-old Dean Scott appeared at the same court in connection with the alleged incident on Sunday night.

He was also remanded in custody, after making no plea to a charge of assault with intent to murder and attempted murder. He is also accused of a crime under the Firearms Act 1968.

A 24-year-old man was rushed to hospital for treatment after the alleged incident at the pub in Willowbrae.
