A man who went up in flames on a busy train is being treated in hospital.
The 24-year-old was travelling on the Edinburgh to Aberdeen train on Saturday evening following a football match between Aberdeen and Hibs.
He was rushed to hospital after suffering serious burns while a second person suffered minor injuries.
The 1808 Arriva cross country service had to be stopped in the Kirkcaldy area of Fife to allow the emergency services to attend.
Officers from both Fife Police and the British Transport Police spoke to travellers on the train following the incident and one man has now been arrested.
A British Transport Police spokesman said: "British Transport Police can confirm that a male has been arrested and another is assisting with enquiries following a serious incident on board a train in the Kirkcaldy area of Fife at around 1900 hours yesterday."
The spokesman added: "British Transport Police are treating the incident very seriously and investigations are currently ongoing."
