Edinburgh is to house a cutting edge dental health centre.

The facility has been names after the centre's leading clinician Professor Ibbetson, who is described as having been a leading developer of modern dentistry over the past 30 years

The centre will provide dental care, education, research and training for patients and students. State of the art educational facilities featuring life-like practice dummies will also be provided on the site.

Health chiefs say patients will also now have access to a new clinical department and restoratitive dentistry centre.
