The Red Arrows are to return to an East Lothian airshow for the first time in five years.

The aerobatic team last visited the show at the National Museum of Flight in 2007.

This year they will take to the skies over East Fortune along with variety of other aircraft.

So far the line-up includes a Royal Navy Sea King search and rescue helicopter, a Hawk T1 jet trainer and a 1941 Tiger Moth biplane. There will also be aerobatic displays from the RV8ters and the SWIP Team Twister Duo.

Tickets have gone on sale for the airshow on July 28.

Visitors will also be able to explore the permanent displays at the museum, including the Concorde.

General manager Grant MacKenzie said: "We’re delighted that the Red Arrows will be attending again this year as their thrilling displays are always loved by the crowds here at East Fortune. We’ve already lined up some other fantastic aircraft and hope to be able to announce more amazing aerial acts in the coming weeks. When combined with the great on-the-ground entertainment we’re planning, we believe our Airshow is one of Scotland’s best family days out."
