A man has stolen a three-figure sum of money in a knife-point robbery at a shop.
Two women were working at the Scotmid on Main Street in the Deans area of Livingston on Monday.
At around 9.40pm, a man walked in and threatened them with a knife. He demanded they hand over money and made off with a three-figure sum.
The man was white, 6ft 2ins tall, and with a stocky build. He was wearing dark jogging bottoms, a black zip jumper and a black balaclava.
A Lothian and Borders Police spokesman said: "Both shop assistants were left extremely shaken, and we are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward. Likewise, anyone who was in the area at the time and saw the suspect, or who recognises his description, should also contact police."
