Human remains have been found by a walker in countryside near Loch Lomond.
The decomposing body of a man was discovered on Saturday afternoon in woodland near the A82 between Crianlarich and Tyndrum, in Stirlingshire.
Central Scotland police said they do not believe the death is suspicious.
A post mortem examination is being carried out and the identity of the remains will not be confirmed until forensic tests are complete.
A Central Scotland Police spokeswoman said: "We are following a line of inquiry in relation to the man's identity but this will only be confirmed once we have received the results of these tests."
