A teenager has been indecently assaulted by a motorist who pulled up in his car and started talking to her.

The 19-year-old was walking along Mayfield Road in Mayfield, Midlothian at around 10pm on Wednesday when a dark Subaru Impreza stopped next to them.

The man in the car started chatting to the pair before driving off. A short time later, he caught up with them in Bogwood Road and stopped again.

After a short conversation, the driver grabbed the 19-year-old and indecently assaulted her before driving off.

He is described as white, in his 30s, of stocky build, with short brown hair and stubble. He was wearing a dark checked shirt. The car had gold alloys and rear spoiler.
