A wind turbine manufacturer in Campbeltown is expected to benefit from a major jobs announcement.
Vestas, which produces the eco-friendly energy generators, has previously been threatened with closure.
However, it is understood the Danish firm Skykon has bought the factory in the Argyll town.
The venture is the product of a joint initiative between Scottish Ministers, Scottish Development International, Highlands and Islands Enterprise, and the local council.
It is thought the move could safeguard 100 jobs for the community, with a potential to reach 300 posts in the next two years.
