Renfrewshire Council has launched the next phase of its clean-up campaign.
This stage of the initiative involves the council teaming up with local businesses, including Paisley-based Chocolatz.
Clean Renfrewshire was originally launched in May 2008 with the introduction of wardens to increase awareness of the need to maintain a clean environment.
Wardens can issue fixed penalty notices to people and organisations who continue to drop litter or allow their dogs to foul the streets and parks.
The Tidy Business Standards was launched in conjunction with Keep Scotland Beautiful to help raise awareness amongst businesses about the methods they can use to contain, store, collect and dispose of waste.
Businesses who have already signed up to the scheme were presented with awards by Councillor Mare McGurk.
Chocolatz, Dorothy Perkins, Burtons and WH Smith were presented with silver awards. Other businesses which have pledged their support to the campaign include the Piazza, the Paisley Centre, Braehead and Glasgow Airport.
Renfrewshire Council Leader Derek Mackay said in a statement: "I want to encourage businesses throughout Renfrewshire to sign up to the Tidy Business Standard.
"Our Clean Renfrewshire team is keen to engage with businesses to enable them to improve the visual appearance of their premises and the surrounding area."
